The Miner’s Exchange
The trading post where local miners bring ore to be weighed, assayed, and sold. Run by Halia Thornton. Quietly: the Zhentarim front in Phandalin.
A solid two-story building on the south side of Phandalin’s town square. Brass scales, locked strongboxes, a long counter with iron grilles. The back room is Halia’s office — wood-paneled, with a writing desk, a wine cabinet, and a second door out the back.
The Exchange handles all ore traffic in the region. Halia keeps careful records of who is finding what, and where — information that is, by itself, worth a small fortune to the right buyer.
The Redbrands do not hassle the Miner’s Exchange. The reason is not advertised.
Resident / proprietor: Halia Thornton.
