Iriaebor

The City of a Thousand Spires. A great overland trade city in the Western Heartlands, far to the south and east of the Sword Coast, where the caravan roads meet the River Chionthar. Iriaebor is famous for its crowded ridge-top skyline — towers built on towers, bridges strung between them — and for merchant lords who count coin the way other cities count people.

It is a long journey from Phandalin: weeks of road through Waterdeep and the Trade Way south, by the most common routes.

Why It Matters

The banshee Agatha of Conyberry told the party that she traded the spellbook of Bowgentle to a necromancer named Tsernoth of Iriaebor — more than a hundred years ago. What became of the man and the book since, she neither knew nor cared.
